Skin is the largest organ of our body that deserves proper care. Human awareness is yet to identify with this important recognition. They have just embarked on the reality of concern, for how vital the importance of our Skin in conjunction with Nature.

Nature plays a remarkable role in the survival of Humans. Yet, we still abuse the core of ALL natural. For that simple fact, we need to address the matter at hand, and remember what nature provides is the absolute best. Nature deserves respect. Knowledge has revealed any synthetic substances used, is to be unworthy. The Pure, Safe, and Natural will surpass all odds. Our bodies are created to endure, and absorb natural products. Unfortunately, our environment has had many set backs, with smog, air pollution, and many harmful elements, that can cause abundance of danger to our well being. The Sun is needed for killing germs, and providing us the healthy amounts of vitamin D, but with the ozone layer exposed, it has become dangerous to our skin. 90% of all visible signs of aging are due to sun exposure. Men are most vulnerable to the harmful exposure of the sun, because they feel too feminine to use daily creams with sun protection factors (SPF). Men should be encouraged to participate in the protection of their skin, offering the easy-to-use process with a wide spectrum of appropriate, and beneficial products. Appropriate Sun Protection is extremely necessary to avoid the harmful penetration of Ultra Violet (UV) rays, thus aiding in the prevention of Skin Cancer.

• What factors play a role:

Other internal, and external factors have played a role in the damage of skin contributing to wrinkles, and aging. As one grows older, skin cells divide slower, the dermis begins to thin, and the skins ability to repair itself drastically diminishes. As well, the underlying network of collagen, and elastin responsible for supporting the skin's many layers loosens, and breaks causing a loss of elasticity in the skin which eventually droops. Thus the use of foreign substances, creams, and collagen treatments or botox injections to diminish the visible lines and wrinkles, that once absorbed by the skin, cause severe damage with scaring and deformities that are irreversible, which also can be fatal, and cause cancer.

Time, and time again nature has proven itself to be the least harmful to our bodies. Obvious reasons, look at the popularity of health food stores like, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Mother's Market, etc.... People have had enough of hormones added to meats, and vegetables, which eventually penetrate our system with potential harm.

• Changes to the industry:

The skin care industry has experienced a similar change. The demand of customers for natural products has been on the rise, do to health awareness. Major brand companies have averted their formulas to adjust to human demand. Some are able to a certain degree modify their formulas, but not totally. The companies that have been ahead of this demand are reaping their recognition, wealth, and fame. The major necessity in choosing a suitable product is in the formulation, where it is derived from, and how it is tested. Testing preferably on humans insures best results, rather than testing on animals. So why use unnatural products, when nature has so much to offer NATURALLY!

• My personal experience:

Having had long-term experience with skin care, my advice to anyone that is listening. Don't be misled by the media, and advertisements. Everyone wants you as a loyal customer. Be wise in your decision, after all it is your skin, your beauty, pride, and joy!

Anti-aging skin care products are essential after the age of 25 years. Our elastin and collagen starts to diminish, and it is of up-most importance to replenish with the correct and appropriate product to secure healthy vibrant looking skin.

The knowledge that I have gained through out the years of practice as a Cosmetologist/Esthetician, has given me the leverage to build the "trust" with my clientele, thus assisting them with the genuine advice that insured best results. The experience of twenty-five years in my profession as a Cosmetologist / Esthetician, has given me the extended knowledge of addressing the challenges I faced through out my career.
